چکیده

Imbalance in immune responses plays an indispensable role pathogenesis and development of multiple sclerosis (MS), as a neurodegenerative disorder. Current treatments are not always successful preventing MS treating the disease. Stem cell-based cell therapy has provided new window for disorders. cells can regulate system improve axonal remyelination. They be isolated from different origins such bone marrow, embryonic, neural, adipose tissues. However, there is challenge choosing best source stem therapy. Mesenchymal (MSCs) derived have significant immunoregulatory impacts on system. A growing body evidence indicates that tissue umbilical cord suitable obtaining MSCs. Moreover, human amniotic epithelial (hAEC), novel with effects, regenerative low antigenicity, candidate treatment. This chapter discusses therapeutic MSCs hAECs

P 152: Mesenchymal Stem Cells as a Therapeutic Target in Multiple Sclerosis

Neuroinflammation has a significant role in induce of Multiple sclerosis (MS) many approaches have been used to treat MS, but none of these methods have not been able to fully improve. One of the methods can suppress inflammation and regenerate the nervous system is the use of cell therapy. Using cell therapy in pre-clinic phase can be realized, it's mechanism and potency to suppress neuroinfla...

Comparison of Characteristics of Human Amniotic Membrane and Human Adipose Tissue Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are ideal candidates for treatment of diseases. Amniotic membranes are an inexpensive source of MSCs (AM-MSC) without any donor site morbidity in cell therapy. Adipose tissue derived stem cells (ASCs) are also suitable cells for cell therapy. There is discrepancy in CD271 expression among MSCs from different sources. In this study, the characteristics...

Construction of tissue engineered skin with human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells and human amniotic epithelial cells.

OBJECTIVE To establish a new model for construction of tissue engineered skin with human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs) and human amniotic epithelial cells (hAECs). MATERIALS AND METHODS hAMSCs and hAECs were isolated from amniotic membrane. The morphology and phenotype of hAMSCs and hAECs were confirmed by microscope and flow cytometry, respectively. Then, we performed RT-PCR and i...

Immunomodulatory Effect of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Multiple Sclerosis and Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis: A Review Study

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory and demyelinating disease of the central nervous system that may lead to disability of the patient. Current MS treatment regimens are still insufficient and research is conducted for developing more effective therapies capable of targeting neurodegeneration, inflammation, and demyelination. Recent results of experimental and clinical studies in ...

P 140: Stem Cells in Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS). Inflammation caused by immune cells destroy the myelin and then axon. CNS failure to complete repair results in permanent disabilities. Some types of stem cells have special potentials to repair these injuries and even cure MS. Neural crest stem cells with a mutual origin with CNS and the ability of differen...
